Venue / Lobby Info:
The lobby is one of the nicest escape room lobbies I've ever been in, the owners really put a lot of effort into designing a lobby that is cozy, on theme, and perfect for an entryway. There is a steampunk vibe to the lobby.
Public Restrooms: Yes
Notes for People with Disabilities:
There are a few stairs to get into the building (2).
Game Introduction: "The government seeks to cover up six decades of research that prove the existence of extraterrestrial beings. You and your team of believers enter a remote farmhouse in hopes of saving the precious evidence." The introduction got my team incredibly excited for what was to come in the room, and set the stage perfectly.
Operator Intro: Exciting - takes you into the story
Narrative: Help Create Something (such as a cure, a potion, etc.)
Main room first glance: Nice & Neat!
The main room was decorated incredibly well for what it was. This was the first time I've walked into an escape room with a house vibe and actually felt like I was in someone's living room. Everything was very on theme, yet immersive at the same time. There were no glaring puzzle displays, so finding the puzzles and traversing the area was quite fun.
Flow: Excellent flow - flawless and coherent
The game flow was flawless, each puzzle lead into the next and we did not need any hints. Not to say the room was easy by any means, but everything made sense and there was not a single logic leap.
Puzzles: Well thought of. Intriguing
The puzzles were challenging compared to The Puzzle Parlor's other rooms, but not unapproachable. The puzzles lead into each other very well, and were all genuinely fun to solve.
The overall concept, set, puzzles, difficult level, immersion, the entire game.
The opening puzzle.
Hints & Clues, Debrief
Quality: Excellent (They have advanced the game, built-in escalation, no answer-disclosing)
Closure & Debrief: Excellent (Catharsis)
Game Master Name:
This room is a must see in the White Plains, NY area. The overall game was incredibly fun, heart pounding, exciting, and rewarding--something we haven't seen in a while in escape rooms. The owner is tweaking the intro puzzle currently, and once that puzzle is finished the game will be flawless.
Did You Escape: Yes
