The Escape Game Company creates family friendly experiences that are best suited for both smaller and larger teams. Prison break is possible with two players, but I would recommend 3-4 experienced teammates!

The Venue

Venue / Lobby Info:

For having so many rooms, the lobby is on the small side. This worked out OK until three groups arrived around the same time - it was packed! I recommend meeting elsewhere and arriving right before your game begins.

Public Restrooms: Yes

Refreshments: No

The Game

Game Introduction: We are in a prison and we need to escape! An inmate may have left us a few clues...

Operator Intro: Exciting - takes you into the story

Theme: Prison

Narrative: Escape a Specific Unpleasant Place

Main room first glance: Looks Good

Locked in two separate cells, I was separated from my teammate immediately. There was enough room for 2-3 people per cell to be comfortable and not stepping on each other's toes.

Flow: Good Flow - one thing leads to another. Sometime not clear

Linear in nature, the room makes quite a bit of sense. However, when you get stuck - you get STUCK and cannot continue. There are some really great game components to assist in the forward momentum.

Puzzles: Well thought of. Intriguing

Ranging in difficulty from easy to moderate, there is enough to keep a family of all ages busy. As an enthusiast, there are some puzzles that are rarely seen, making this room a real treat!

Game Strengths:

Unique puzzles - Interesting game flow - well thought out storyline - professional GM's

Game Weaknesses:

Weird clue system within the cells - Difficulty seeing TV monitor from within cell

Hints & Clues, Debrief

Method: Other

Quality: Good (things made sense)

Closure & Debrief: Excellent (Catharsis)

Final Thoughts:

When visiting a city that has an Escape Game Co location, their rooms are a must play. Each location has slight variations on games, making them replayable if it's been a while! Their level of professionalism and consistency is welcome and appreciated.
