Venue / Lobby Info:
Skeleton Key is part restaurant, part Escape Room. When walking up to the venue, you can see the bar and restaurant much easier than the Escape Room. The lobby area for the ER is beautiful and elegant feeling, complete with a tube to talk to the underworld! It's warm and welcoming, making players feel at home.
Public Restrooms: Yes
Notes for People with Disabilities:
Stroller friendly venue!
Game Introduction: Break into a museum and steal Starry Night! Should be easy, right?
Operator Intro: Interesting
Narrative: Carry out a Heist
Main room first glance: Wow!
Wow! There's a car in here?! Walking into the main room, we were shocked by the initial set - it was well beyond our expectations for a first escape room offering. It was beautiful and begged to be explored.
Flow: Excellent flow - flawless and coherent
Each step of the way, our team of experienced Enthusiasts knew what to expect and how to navigate the space. However, technology was not cooperating with us at several key points throughout the game. The GM's were well prepared for these issues, having secondary methods for us to continue the game.
Puzzles: Some of them were great (matched promised level)
Puzzles ranged in difficulty from easy to obscure, with lots and lots of searching.
Amazing GM staff - Immediate Wow! Factor - Fun story line
Faulty tech - worn puzzles
Hints & Clues, Debrief
Quality: Good (things made sense)
Closure & Debrief: Excellent (Catharsis)
Skeleton Key brought alcohol and Escape Rooms together to create a fun and accessible experience to an audience with little knowledge of what an Escape Room is. While Enthusiasts may find this room too simple, it serves well as a warm and welcoming introduction to this addiction =)
Did You Escape: Yes
