World War III has broken out. The entire United States naval fleet has been destroyed by a surprise, all sides’ navel attack. Fortunately for the U.S., there is one old, beat up, decommissioned Battleship that is left in the fleet. It is the Battleship USS Staten Island which was the last of the true Battleships to have ever been manufactured. You and your fellow officers have been chosen for your one of a kind military background and battle skills. The mission for you and your team is to destroy the enemy and save our country from the invading forces. Your challenge is great because the enemy fleet will arrive in 60 minutes. Fortunately, you have at your disposal one of the best, and most decorated battleships to ever sail the seven seas.

My ideal group for this room would be 4-5 adults with Escape Room experience. I could definitely recommend this room to kids interested in military/paramilitary experiences (think: JROTC, Cadets, Explorers, Boy Scouts). Due to room setup and puzzle flow, I wouldn't recommend more than 6 players.
Venue / Lobby Info:
Unreal Escapes is on the 2nd floor of a standalone building - not being familiar with the area, we overshot the parking lot! The lobby is large and spacious, with seating for about 10 players among various sofas and chairs. There is a large party room off to the side with additional seating. Walking in, there is a definite steampunk meets industrial vibe.
Public Restrooms: Yes

Game Introduction: A short video is played - World War 3 is starting, and we're on one of the last ships! It's a sink or be sunk kinda morning... =)
Operator Intro: Exciting - takes you into the story
Narrative: Military Operations
Main room first glance: OK
We begin the game in some sort of narrow captain's quarters. It becomes quite obvious that our goal is to open the door along one side of the room - but how?! There are some books and signs up along the room, and a few very familiar puzzles are evident immediately upon entry. Don't be discouraged from this initial assessment - the adventure needs time to unfold!
Flow: Very Good and coherent flow
Once we are out of the initial space, the real experience begins. Our team of 5 had plenty to do, where we split into two teams to explore and progress within the game. This room has a unique 'INTERRUPTING COW' game play that happens once (or more) during the hour in which you are on the Battleship. Love it or hate it, it's unique and was interesting to see how our experienced team handled it. Personally, I tried to ignore the cow... While other players on my team chose to 'handle' the situation. **Post game non-spoiler alert** We found out afterwards that the 'Interrupting Cow' game play components change from experience to experience, and it 'learns' from the group within. Wow!!! The way the room is set up, several puzzles and game components were not experienced by me, as I was involved in other puzzle/game components. The OCD/TypeA person within me wants to experience everything, but this game split allowed for more experienced players to play at the same time.
Puzzles: Some of them were great (matched promised level)
There are some magical, amazing puzzles within this experience.. And a few that just felt weak in comparison. We had elaborate, beautiful puzzles and game play sequences, next to four digit combination locks. However, even with this observation.. There's a place and a time for these puzzles.. and they actually work within the scope of the experience. One puzzle is very touchy with several moving elements, and we had to check and re-check our work three times to complete the puzzle. This was the only choppy point within our game. There is a significant amount of reading within this adventure. Please bring your reading glasses and have at least one player who can read several paragraphs worth of information in English.
Beautiful, large game play field - unique puzzles - unique setting - interesting theme, great flow - interrupting cow
