THIS GAME WAS AMAZING. The room was 70 minutes long, and had actors in it. These actors were not with you the entire time, but played an integral part in the story. The room is quickly booking out, so make sure you book a week or 2 in advance to insure you have tickets. This is definitely a family friendly room, but is wonderful for all audiences.
Venue / Lobby Info:
The venue is tucked away in a walk up apartment style complex. The team is really great at walking you through how to get to the venue, and is well marked outside. They have multiple different parts of this complex, so be sure to go to their main office first. Their lobby is in the making, as this room only opened in March 2018. The lobby for their other room is flawless, so I can only imagine the work of art they will make for the new room.
Public Restrooms: Yes
Notes for People with Disabilities:
The room is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately. There is one puzzle that has audio cues, but otherwise the room could work for hearing impaired players.
Game Introduction: The game introduction blew us out of the water, and was unlike anything we had seen before. This intro brought you into the story full force, and was perfectly executed. This built an amazing base for the game to come, and got the entire team incredibly excited to embark on an adventure unlike any other.
Operator Intro: Exciting - takes you into the story
Theme: Fantasy / Fiction
Narrative: Be an Adventurer
Main room first glance: Wow!
The main room starts the player in a library- but do not be fooled. This room, without spoiling anything, transforms unlike anything we have seen in ~100 games. The library is created really well, and sets the theme of the adventure perfectly.
Flow: Excellent flow - flawless and coherent
The puzzles flawlessly had a waterfall effect into each other. There was no moment that we were lost or unable to figure out what to do, everything was very clear without being obvious. One area poured into another, and the story and setting came full circle.
Puzzles: Well thought of. Intriguing
The puzzles were integrated into the immersion beyond anything I had seen before. Objects that usually would just be decoration factored into puzzle answers, and everything in each room had a purpose.
The set was absolutely breathtaking. you were IN THE STORY, it wasn't happening around you. This was an experience like no other, and whether you wanted to be invested or not you were. The puzzles were flawless, cohesive, and built the story. The immersion was flawless, the flow was flawless, everything blew us away.
I don't think there is a better game than this.
