Ease Of Booking :
We had to call and make the booking as our tickets were purchased through Groupon. The woman who answered the phone was courteous.
Lobby : When you arrive at the comedy club, there is a stage and seating area on the left side, and a full bar on the right side. We sat down at the bar and awaited our game host. There is no 'dedicated waiting area' for the escape room.
Hospitality : The game master offered us drinks upon entrance! Drinks at an Escape Room! Yey! There were restrooms within the facility that were clean.
Time Keeping : Our game started on time.
Briefing Details : The red queen trapped us, and we have an hour to escape.
Operator Intro : OK
Pleasant, courteous, and wonderful game master who promptly assisted us when there was an issue with the game.
The Game :
As a gen1, single room game, it met or exceeded our expectations. The only reason this game isnt a 5 star is due to the lock breaking, and I hope that lock has since been replaced by a better design.
The Venue :
If it is raining, please bring an umbrella as it is an open mall design at this location. The venue is clean and well kept.
Main Room - First Glance :
We were led to a small room (about 10'x20') at the back of the comedy club. It was surprisingly well decorated for a 'bar escape game'. Someone spent quite a bit of time building this room, even at the small size that it was.
Excellent flow - flawless and coherent
We were immediately impressed that the flow of this room worked so well! Each puzzle led to the next, and it was clear where we were to be next within the room. I was expecting a lot less from this game based on the price and location.
Some of them were great (matched promised level)
One of the directional locks broke in the game. The gamemaster came in, cut the lock, and gave us the clue that we were trying to get out of the box. The puzzles were all Gen1, but were on theme and made sense for the room that we were in.
Hints & Clues : Three clues.
Policy: Strict Policy
Hints & Clues Quality: We had to use a clue to get the broken lock replaced, otherwise clues were not needed.
Quality: Good (things made sense)
Closure & Debrief :
We escaped the room in about 35 minutes, and felt accomplished. It was well thought out and met every expectation of what a 'bar style escape room' should be. The owner told us how her daughter was working on the next escape game, and we learned that this was a family business. I would return to play other games here.
