STORMS A'COMING.... The sea is churning and a monster hurricane is forecasted to hit Connecticut just as night falls. At the mouth of the Thames River, a beacon of light has been dark for generations. The Ledge Lighthouse has long been abandoned and left to the ghosts of the past. Without the warning light, many ships harboring in the sound are at risk of running aground. You and your band of adventure seekers decide to venture out to the lighthouse in an attempt to activate the light once more. But be forewarned, you will not be the only souls stirring on this stormy night…

Venue / Lobby Info:
The lobby feels very steampunk and in theme with Mystified. There are two lobbies, a waiting area, and a pre/post game area. Both are clean and spacious, and offer lobby puzzles.
Public Restrooms: Yes
Game Introduction: The game introduction was done by our game master, who was wonderful at portraying the story to us. The story made a lot of sense, and carried its way throughout the game.
Operator Intro: Interesting
Narrative: Help Create Something (such as a cure, a potion, etc.)
Main room first glance: Nice & Neat!
The first room was dark, and had items scattered about that fit the theme and were incorporated in the puzzles. You immediately enter and want to touch everything, and explore the area. They do a great job at transforming the area into something unrecognizable-- I had previously played a game in this space and it felt completely transformed. There are ample flashlights with good batteries, so the low light was not an issue.
Flow: Excellent flow - flawless and coherent
The game flow was great, each puzzle followed the previous puzzle. There was enough to do for all players in the room, and every person was engaged throughout. The game was linear in light way, but also had puzzles that could be done simultaneously. We got through the game with no hints or help, as the puzzles made sense and fit in the game space. There were no logic leaps.
Puzzles: Well thought of. Intriguing
The puzzles were on the easier side, as the room is designed to be a beginner room. Yet, they were fun, tangible, and intriguing nonetheless. There were plenty of puzzles to keep our team of 6 occupied throughout, and everyone was working on something. The game had a handful of puzzles that could not be done solo, so a minimum of 2 players is required.
Beginner friendly, fun puzzles, good atmosphere, tangible objects, themed puzzles, good flow.
Low lighting throughout, but with ample flashlights. Not a challenge for seasoned players (which isn't a bad thing!!)
