Thousands of innocent victims of the Great Inquisition have spent their last hour in this very dungeon. Every prisoner sentenced to capital punishment was given the chance to save their own life. They were each locked in this dungeon filled with puzzles and mystical secrets for one hour. If they were unable to make it out, they were killed in the most horrible ways. Historians say that only one person managed to escape this gloomy place. He was a sculptor that reached the heights of the jewel craft. No one else has been able to make it out. The spirits of St. Angelo’s Dungeon now await your arrival. Escape within the hour or your soul will forever walk among them.

Ease Of Booking :
Website has super-easy booking.
Lobby : The lobby is an oversized closet, with seating for 2 people, if you're cozy. It is dark with a tiny desk, and is not the most welcoming of spaces.
Hospitality : There is a semi-public restroom outside their suite, but it was pretty gross. The door didn't lock, so we decided to use restrooms elsewhere during this venture.
Time Keeping : Our game started about 5 minutes late.
Briefing Details : We are lined up, and hoods are placed over our heads with these robes. One by one, we are led into a cell to be locked in. Not much of a briefing, but super immersive immediately upon game starting. NOTE: This game is not suitable for those who experience claustrophobia NOTE: This game is not suitable for those who do not like the dark
Operator Intro : Exciting - takes you into the story
Besides having to wait for the operator, they were excellent.
The Game :
This game was truly enjoyable and a unique experience.
The Venue :
I have high expectations of Komnata rooms, and this venue was not up to the standard I come to expect. However, the game is amazing, and I will continue to play Komnata games.
Main Room - First Glance :
I wish there was a theme for 'Medieval', but 'Horror' will do! The main room is several cells, which we are locked into separately. The room is very dark, and there is no clear cut 'first puzzle' to complete.
Excellent flow - flawless and coherent
We got caught up on the first two puzzles for about 15 minutes, and we were an experienced group of four players. Once that was resolved, the remainder of the game took us an additional 20 minutes to complete. The flow was pretty obvious, and led to an exciting, fast paced, adventure-style game.
Some of them were great (matched promised level)
I Loved that all of the puzzles kept with the theme of the room. Mostly Gen2, with very few 'standard' or 'typical' puzzles to be solved. This is definitely a room with impressive tech, especially used in a medieval setting! It was creative and fun.
Hints & Clues : Three clues.
Policy: Strict Policy
Hints & Clues Quality: Komnata is wonderful at not 'spoon feeding' answers to you, until you are so stumped that they have no other way of you progressing in the game. Once we got over our initial hurdle, they left us to our own devices for the rest of the game.
Quality: Excellent (They have advanced the game, built-in escalation, no answer-disclosing)
Closure & Debrief :
Upon exiting the room, our photos were taken. The staff were surprised at how quickly we completed the game (our exact finish time was 38 minutes). I would recommend this game for 'first timers' or for a group of mixed skill. 3-4 people is the ideal group size to complete this game. Advanced players may just breeze through this room, although we did really enjoy the uniqueness of the experience. Although it is 'horror' themed, nothing pops out or is scary.
