Ease Of Booking :
The company was incredibly helpful and had a great booking system. They were flexible and helped us book flawlessly.
Lobby : The lobby was spot on with the company. The color scheme was inviting without being over the top, and everything was clean and spotless. There was ample sitting space, without feeling sparse.
Hospitality : There were restrooms, and the staff was helpful and attentive. I had a cut on my finger before the game, and they were quick to offer me a first aid kit on the spot. There was a water cooler for us to grab a quick drink between games.
Time Keeping : The time was respected at the venue, and they were on time, prompt, and ready for us when we were ready for them! There was a slight issue, but they were very quick to get it fixed and get us in the game.
Briefing Details : The briefing set the tone of the room and was done in an atmospheric way. Our game master gave us the briefing in a 'buffer' room. which helped set the room up. There was a brief briefing done by the game master, then there was one while we were already in the game through the speakers. This was a great addition and freaked us out (in a good way!)
Operator Intro : Exciting - takes you into the story
The operators were wonderful. Very attentive, and there for us!
The Game :
The game was mind-blowing, and definitely my favorite blackout room so far. I've done limitless in NYC, and this was at another level in my opinion. I preferred this game over a lot of games and felt as if my money was well spent.
The Venue :
The venue was wonderful, the staff was great, and the hospitality was on the level that I expect from escape rooms.
Main Room - First Glance :
The main room was completely pitch black. There was nothing to see, and they did a great job with making the room truly pitch black. You could see absolutely nothing, except the insanely dim timer on the ceiling.
Excellent flow - flawless and coherent
The game flow was wonderful -- it really was based on the story, and there was a ton to do for everyone. There was never a spot that we did not explore, and they did a good job with making it an escape room minus any vision.
Well thought of. Intriguing
The puzzles were great throughout the room. This was one of my only 3 losses in a room, but it was justified. The puzzles were hard but in a good way. There was a ton to do, but we never felt overwhelmed. Having your vision taken away is a lot more difficult than one would expect, which adds another layer of complexity in the puzzle.
Hints & Clues : There were no hints throughout the room- this room was strictly on your own. This was fine for the theme, as the room was supposed to make you feel helpless.
Policy: Strict Policy
Hints & Clues Quality: If we needed, we were never locked in the room. We could have yelled out of the door to the game master, but we never felt the need to. We wished there was some sort of simple hint system for when we got truly stuck, but I understand why there was not one in place.
Quality: Good (things made sense)
Closure & Debrief :
The debrief and closure were wonderful- we did not escape, and the game master brought on the lights to show us the area and walk us through the rest of the game. We were able to see the set up-close, and it was intriguing to see once the lights were up.
