The Story

The President of the United States (President Palmer) has fallen ill and has one hour to live unless he is administered a cure for his terminal disease. The Time Chaser Corps (TCC) has been tasked with finding the clues that will lead them to manufacture and deliver a cure. Unfortunately, all TCC agents are out on other missions and will not return in time. You have just been sworn in as TCC agent recruits and are the only hope for President Palmer's survival.

Lobby consists of two large conference rooms with puzzle objects to keep you busy, while you wait. A large tv is set up to clearly introduce you to the rules. Water cooler and bathroom are easily accessible.

Main room first glance: Wow!

As soon as you walk into the first room you know you're playing something unique. The main room is large and the aesthetic is well done with technology everywhere. There are clearly visible doors with secrets to be unlocked. Time traveling equipment and chachkies surround the room. There can be no mistaking the theme as soon as you enter the main room.

Flow: Excellent flow - flawless and coherent

The flow is frantic and appreciated. There are several rooms to enter with uniquely different ways to progress. Each room is vastly different from the last. Most rooms have the entire group working on a single puzzle with the majority standing around with nothing to do. This is not that type of room. Your team will work together and there is almost always something to do.

Puzzles: Well thought of. Intriguing

There are many different types of puzzles here and the majority are not your typical padlock combination puzzles. While no single puzzle is extremely difficult, there are so many puzzles, players will need to work together and play to their strengths. It is not easy to implement such a heavy technologically advanced puzzles. But Trap't has done it wonderfully.

Game Strengths:

This is a technologically advanced, beautifully designed room. It captures everything from the visual aesthetic, the sense of adventure, to the diversity in both mental and physical puzzles. Easter eggs abound and players will see tongue in cheek references throughout the process. It is an absolute pleasure to play.

Game Weaknesses:

The first puzzle was easily understandable from a "What do I need to do?" perspective. But carrying it out proved to be difficult. This is one of the worst frustrations a player can experience in a room, and the owner stated it's common.

There is a LOT to do in this Escape Room. If you live in the area (or are passing through), it is worth the trip to check out Time Chasers at Trap't. Between the unique use of space, interesting story line, and sheer amount of puzzles, it will make most enthusiasts giddy with delight.
